谢如刚，男，1938年出生。1961年毕业于四川大学有机化学专业并留校任教至今，现任四川大学化学学院教授，博士生导师，四川大学生物有机化学研究所所长。

谢如刚，现任四川大学化学学院的教授，博士生导师，四川大学生物有机化学研究所所长。国家自然科学基金委员会第六、九、十届化学科学部专家评审组成员，中国化学会第二十五届理事，成都市化学化工学会常务理事，成都市化学化工学会有机化学化工专委会主任，《有机化学》等编委，《化学研究与应用》常务编委。享受国务院特殊津贴。四川省首批学术技术带头人。
谢如刚教授先后为本科生、硕士和博士研究生主讲《有机化学》、《有机合成实验》、《甾体化学》、《仿酶研究进展》、《近代有机合成》、《高选择性有机合成》等课程；已培养博士、硕士研究生约 50名，目前他们在美国、日本、法国、加拿大、香港特别行政区、台湾省等国家和地区的著名高等院校、科研院所或企业单位有很好的发展。

谢如刚教授长期从事有机化学教学与科研工作。主讲硕、博研究生“近代有机合成”、“甾体化学”、“高选择性合成反应”、“模拟酶进展”等课程。培养硕、博研究生约50名。

《有机化学》、《应用化学》、《化学研究与应用》，《合成化学》四杂志的编委或常务编委。中国化学会第25届理事。国家自然科学基金第6届学科评审组委员。四川大学生物有机化学研究所所长。受邀为纽约科学院成员。受聘为中核集团纳米材料研究发展中心特聘研究员。
