1964年生,理学博士。中国科学院水生生物研究所研究员,博士生导师。农业部现代农业产业技术体系岗位科学家。中国水产学会理事,中国水产学会鱼病专业委员会秘书长,中国动物学会寄生虫学专业委员会委员,中国科学技术协会“病虫害灾情预测与防治”专家组成员,全国水产技术推广总站技术咨询专家组成员,全国动物卫生风险评估专家委员会委员,湖北省政府专项津贴获得者。1986年毕业于南京大学生物系,获学士,1989年和1995年分别在中国科学院水生生物研究所获理学硕士和理学博士学位;1995~1997年,在日本东京大学农学部做博士后研究,2000年9月在捷克科学院寄生虫学研究所进行合作研究,2002年10月赴苏伊士运河大学访问研究,2003年6~9月,在美国夏威夷大学太平洋生物医学研究中心做访问研究。一直从事寄生虫学和鱼病学研究,在国内外共发表研究论文80余篇,其中30余篇被SCI收录;参编著作2部;获得中国科学院自然科学二等奖和武汉市科技进步二等奖各1项;先后主持国家自然科学基金项目、中科院青年科学家小组项目、中科院方向性项目(课题)、农业部现代农业产业技术体系建设项目、湖北省科技攻关重大项目、武汉市青年科技晨光计划项目等,曾参加国家自然科学基金重点项目、 “973”项目、“863”项目、中科院重大项目等。
